The Royal Oak - Kelsall
The original Royal Oak was built in 1822 as an Inn and Public House. In 1900 the new owners demolished the original structure and constructed the existing building as a station for a railway which never happened. The railway was planned to run between Tarporley and Mouldsworth, but was later aborted by Railway Commissioners.
Since then The Royal Oak has hosted a bowling green and a billiards room in the 1930’s and has been a welcome stop for many travellers whom travelled along the old main Chester Road. Since the completion of the bypass in 1986, it has become a relaxing place to dine.
Our award winning Head Chef prides himself on preparing only the highest quality of fresh food, using local suppliers.
